Hey friends, hope you had a good start to the week.

Things have been really busy on my end, but I've been focused on fixing bugs and shipping new features and updates for CardStack.

I'm really excited for you to try the new app update 1.4.2, which will be live on the App Store within 48 hours.

More details on the update below!

And if you enjoy the app, I would really appreciate it if you rate and review the app on the App Store. It really helps a lot.

Alright — here's this week's newsletter.

💳 Chase has six cards at 100K+

Chase is having a moment.

Right now, Chase has six cards sitting at 100,000+ points or point-equivalent offers at the same time.

The latest one is the Chase Sapphire Preferred, which is now offering 100,000 points after $5,000 in spend in the first 3 months.

That is a huge offer for one of the most beginner-friendly travel cards.

Chase also has:

If you are under 5/24 and have been waiting for a strong Chase offer, this is a very good window.

💎 Chase Sapphire Preferred gets a real refresh

In addition to a higher signup bonus, the Sapphire Preferred also just got its biggest benefits update in years.

The annual fee is still $95, but the card now has:

  • 3x on gas and EV charging
  • 3x on vacation homes, including Airbnb and Vrbo
  • $100 Chase Travel hotel credit, up from $50
  • $120 Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS credit every 4 years
  • One free year of Apple TV, activate by December 31, 2026
  • Emergency Evacuation and Transportation coverage

That is a meaningful upgrade.

There are two catches (obviously!)

First, the 10% anniversary bonus is going away for anyone who applies on or after today, June 15, 2026.

Second, World of Hyatt transfers are getting worse on the Sapphire Preferred. Instead of 1:1, points will transfer to Hyatt at 4:3. For new cardholders, that starts immediately. For existing cardholders, it starts October 1, 2026.

That Hyatt change sucks. No way around it.

But for most normal people, especially anyone new to points, the card is still stronger than it was last month. The $100 hotel credit alone can wipe out the annual fee if you use Chase Travel once a year.

I wrote up the full refresh in the Chase Sapphire Preferred 2026 benefits guide, and CardStack v1.4.2 has all of the updated earning rates and benefits.

🛍️ Prime Day starts next week

Amazon Prime Day runs from June 23 through June 26 this year.

It is a four-day event, and early deals are already live.

I'm an Apple fanboy so I was excited to see the Apple AirPods Pro 3 already down to $179 from $249, and I immediately got one as I had the 2nd gen model.

Before buying anything on Prime Day, I usually do three things.

First, I check historical pricing using CamelCamelCamel. Prime Day pricing is usually competitive, but not every deal is actually the lowest price of the year.

Second, I check whether I have a targeted credit card points offer at Amazon.

In the past I got Amex offers for up to 40% off Amazon purchases, capped at $40 off. Keep an eye on the Amazon Amex Membership Rewards offer.

These are targeted, so you may see something different or nothing at all.

Third, I check my Amex Offers.

Right now there is a targeted Amazon Amex Offer floating around for 1,200 Membership Rewards points after spending $150. It can be used up to three times, for up to 3,600 points total. It expires July 19, 2026, so it lines up nicely with Prime Day.

If you shop at Amazon often, the Prime Visa is also worth a look and is one of the 12 cards I keep in my wallet. It earns 5% back at Amazon with an eligible Prime membership (and 5x at Whole Foods), and the current welcome offer is a $200 Amazon gift card instantly upon approval.

🍽️ Amex Resy credit gets more annoying on August 1

Starting August 1, 2026, the Amex Resy credit will only work at restaurants specifically marked as eligible in the Resy app or on resy.com.

Right now, the practical rule is simple: if the restaurant is on Resy and accepts Amex, it usually triggers the credit.

That is changing.

After August 1, being listed on Resy is not enough. The restaurant needs to be flagged as eligible for the credit at the time you pay.

That eligibility list can change at any time.

💳 Credit cards and points

Amex Marriott Bonvoy Business: The Points Guy flagged a limited-time offer of 150,000 points plus a $125 statement credit after $8,000 in spend in the first six months. Offer ends July 15.

Citi AAdvantage Platinum Select: The welcome bonus is back up to 80,000 miles after $3,500 in four months, up from the usual 50,000-mile offer.

Capital One Venture Business: TPG has this on its June best-bonuses roundup: 100,000 bonus miles after $10,000 in spend in the first three months.

📱 What I'm Shipping This Week

CardStack v1.4.2 will be live on the App Store as soon as Apple approves it. This update makes CardStack faster to set up, better at tracking your credits, and more reliable day to day.

Redesigned onboarding

A faster, more personal first run that shows the credits and rewards you might be missing, with questions tailored to the cards in your wallet.

Stay signed in

Fixed the issue that could unexpectedly sign you out or show "Session Expired" — active users should stay signed in going forward. After you update to 1.4.2, you may get asked to sign in with Apple one more time for a one-time security upgrade. Just sign back in and you're set.

Smarter bank connections

The Linked Accounts screen is cleaner, connection issues are easier to spot, and you can reconnect or add accounts with one tap without creating duplicates.

Better credit tracking

A new "Left to Use" section shows credits you've only partially used — thanks to Mason for suggesting it. Dollar-based credits, like Equinox and Uber One, now count toward their full annual cap. Auto-tracking is also more accurate, and duplicate annual-fee reminders are fixed.

More cards and refreshed benefits

Added cards from Wells Fargo, U.S. Bank, TD, Target, PayPal, Mission Lane, Crate & Barrel, and CB2. Also refreshed Chase Sapphire Preferred for 2026, updated Delta SkyMiles Amex cards, and added the limited-time Gold Card 60th anniversary annual Uber One membership offer. Corrected benefits and fees on several other existing cards.

More polished design

Refreshed alerts and badges, new glass toolbars, and a redesigned connection detail screen.

Improved browser extension

Better rewards estimates and more polished Amex and Chase offer widgets.

Bug fixes and performance improvements

Fixed a few UX/UI bugs and made the app faster at launch.
