Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CardStack (“the app”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. CardStack is operated by SPACE ROBOTS INC. (“CardStack,” “we,” “us,” or the “Company”).

Description of Service

CardStack is an informational tool that helps users track credit card benefits, credits, and perks. The app allows you to add your credit cards, view associated benefits, track redemption status, and receive reminders about upcoming expirations and fee dates.

Not Financial Advice

CardStack is a tracker and organizer, not a financial advisor. The information displayed in the app is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, investment, or legal advice. Benefit details, credit amounts, and terms may change at any time at the discretion of card issuers. You should always confirm benefit details directly with your card issuer before making decisions based on information in the app.

Accuracy of Information

While we strive to keep benefit information accurate and up to date, we make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of the data displayed. Credit card issuers may modify, add, or remove benefits at any time without notice. CardStack is not affiliated with any credit card issuer or financial institution.

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the app, including the cards you add and redemption statuses you record. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and your Apple ID, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms, and not to attempt to probe, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its systems.

Linked Financial Accounts

Connecting financial accounts is optional. If you choose to connect accounts, you authorize us and our data provider, Plaid Inc., to access and process information from your financial institutions as described in our Privacy Policy and Plaid’s End User Privacy Policy. We do not store your bank login credentials.

Account and transaction data is obtained from third-party sources; we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability.

Linked-account features require an active subscription. If your subscription ends, we may disconnect your linked accounts and delete the associated transaction data from our systems after a grace period. You can also disconnect linked accounts yourself at any time in the app.

AI Features

Some features use artificial intelligence to generate insights, summaries, or answers. AI-generated content is informational only, is not financial or professional advice, and may be inaccurate or incomplete — always verify important details with your card issuer or financial institution. Do not enter passwords, full card numbers, or other sensitive credentials into AI features.

Subscriptions (CardStack+)

Certain features are available through a paid subscription (CardStack+).

If you subscribe in the iOS app, your subscription is billed through your Apple ID. You can manage or cancel that subscription in your device’s App Store account settings, and refunds are subject to Apple’s policies.

If you subscribe on cardstack.money, your subscription is processed through Stripe and renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method until cancellation, which takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel that subscription through the web account and subscription-management flow provided after purchase. Refund requests and billing disputes for web purchases are handled under Stripe’s payment processing flow and applicable law.

When a subscription ends, access to subscription features ceases, and linked financial accounts may be disconnected as described above. We may change subscription pricing or features with notice where required by law.

Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or create risk or legal exposure for us. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time in the app. Upon account deletion, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) survive.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality of CardStack are owned by SPACE ROBOTS INC. and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without our written permission.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SPACE ROBOTS INC. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the app, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. While we use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not warrant absolute security.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: (a) SPACE ROBOTS INC. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of or inability to use the app, including losses resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data; and (b) our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). The existence of more than one claim will not enlarge this limit.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Please read this section carefully — it affects your rights.

If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve it informally for at least thirty (30) days. Any dispute not resolved informally shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. You and CardStack each waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in a class action. Arbitration shall take place in San Francisco County, California, or remotely by videoconference at your election.

You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within thirty (30) days of first accepting these terms by emailing [email protected] with your name and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration.

Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles, except as superseded by the Federal Arbitration Act with respect to the Dispute Resolution section.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. For material changes, we will provide notice by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, through the app or by email. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
