Hey friends,

Hope you all had a good start to the week!

I have a few things for you today, but most importantly, a reminder that the highest-ever public offer on the Chase Sapphire Reserve is ending soon.

If you've been debating this one, this is probably the week to make a decision. The offer ends June 15 at 9 a.m. EDT.

Also, a reminder that any card sign up offer links I post here are not affiliate links. CardStack doesn't participate in any referral programs and all links just point to the bank websites.

Now onto this week's newsletter.

🤓 What I've been up to

I spent the weekend doing something deeply uncool but weirdly satisfying: burning down credits before they expire.

Saks was first, which is always a hostage situation because everything is overpriced. Lululemon was easier (new workout gear). The Bilt Hotel credit on my Palladium almost slipped through the cracks, but CardStack reminded me last week, so I'm glad it did.

I used the hotel credit toward a two-night Lake Tahoe trip. The total was $709 but after $200 in hotel credits and $100 Bilt Cash auto-applied, I paid $409. Not bad!

Still on the list: a 35K Marriott free night certificate expiring at the end of the month. Finding something worth using in California is getting harder, so if you have a good redemption idea for it, let me know!

💼 Massive Amex business offers are floating around

There are good credit card offers, and then there are "how is this even real?" offers.

Right now, some people are seeing huge personalized offers on American Express business cards:

The Business Platinum Card from American Express
Up to 300,000 Membership Rewards points after $20,000 in eligible purchases in the first three months.

American Express Business Gold Card
Up to 200,000 Membership Rewards points after $15,000 in eligible purchases in the first three months.

Welcome offers vary, and you may not be eligible for an offer.

But if you are eligible, these are enormous.

I got the 200K Amex Business Gold offer a while ago, and it is still one of the best bonuses I've ever earned. Amex Membership Rewards points are incredibly flexible because of the transfer partners, especially if you like premium cabin travel.

With a big pile of Amex points, you could theoretically book things like:

  • Singapore Airlines business class from Singapore to New York using Aeroplan
  • Lufthansa First Class to Germany using Aeroplan
  • Delta One to Tokyo using Flying Blue
  • Virgin Atlantic economy to London for a hilariously low number of points

200K to 300K Membership Rewards points is enough to build a serious trip around.

The catch is the spending requirement. $15,000 to $20,000 in three months is not casual spend for most people, but if you have real business expenses, taxes, ads, software, equipment, inventory, or reimbursable spend, these offers are worth a look.

✈️ Delta and Southwest launched bigger signup bonuses

If you've been waiting for better airline card offers, Delta and Southwest announced some pretty good ones this week:

Delta and Amex launched limited-time bonuses across all six SkyMiles cards, ranging from 90,000 to 125,000 miles. These expire July 15.

The nice extra here is that Delta cardholders now also get a second free checked bag on domestic Delta flights. If you fly Delta with family, that can add up quickly.

Meanwhile, Southwest's personal Chase cards also got new elevated offers: Eye of the Flyer has the details:

  • Southwest Plus: 80,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 in three months. $99 annual fee.
  • Southwest Premier: 85,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 in three months. $149 annual fee.
  • Southwest Priority: 90,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 in three months. $229 annual fee.

The Southwest offers are especially interesting if you're chasing the Companion Pass, since credit card signup bonuses count toward it. Just remember Chase's 5/24 rule applies. You also generally won't qualify if you've earned a bonus on a personal Southwest card in the last 24 months.

🚀 What I'm Shipping This Week

This week I've been focused on fixing bugs and making CardStack a lot more reliable and faster. Expect a new build soon.

I was also excited to see what Apple announced at WWDC today, especially Siri AI and all the new APIs available to developers. I'm planning to integrate some of the new Apple Intelligence capabilities so you can benefit from CardStack across the Apple ecosystem.

There's a lot more I'll share in the coming weeks and months. If you have feedback or feature requests, hit reply and send them my way.
