🚀 CardStack update
Hey, Adam here. Welcome to CardStack Insiders #7.
First, WHOOP statement credits for Sapphire Reserve ($359 back on WHOOP Life annual purchased on whoop.com), Sapphire Preferred ($100 on any WHOOP membership on whoop.com), and J.P. Morgan Reserve expire tomorrow (May 12). Activate each offer in Chase Offers before checkout; separate activated offers cover select gear on shop.whoop.com through May 12 ( terms on WHOOP ). Use it or lose it!
Second, CardStack v1.3.2 is heading to the App Store with speed and reliability fixes, clearer ROI on Home, and better “Net Fee Offset” logic on card detail — more in the CardStack update section below.
🟦 Sapphire Preferred: 10% Anniversary Bonus Is Ending
Chase confirmed the Sapphire Preferred 10% anniversary points bonus is going away October 1, 2026 ( Upgraded Points ).
You still earn it on base points until then.
For people who don’t know, the bonus was effectively an extra 1 point per $10 spent annually based on base earnings.
Not massive, but still real value for a $95 card.
At the same time, Chase keeps pushing harder toward Chase Travel with better portal multipliers and more ecosystem lock-in.
Net result: still a solid $95 Ultimate Rewards card, especially with Freedom cards. But if the anniversary bonus mattered to your math, it’s worth reevaluating.
💳 150K Offers on Schwab & Morgan Stanley Platinum
Amex launched 150K welcome offers on both the Charles Schwab Platinum and Morgan Stanley Platinum after $12K spend in 6 months (welcome offers currently end July 8, 2026 on both, per UP).
Same annual fee as the regular Platinum. Same lounge access and core benefits. But both versions have perks that make them more interesting than the standard card.
Schwab Platinum
Still the best Platinum if you want flexibility.
You can cash out Membership Rewards at 1.1 cents per point into a Schwab account, up to 1 million points per year.
150K points = $1,650 cash.
Not travel credits. Actual cash.
There’s also an annual Schwab appreciation bonus depending on your account balances.
Morgan Stanley Platinum
This one is stronger than most people realize if you already use Morgan Stanley.
You get:
- One free Platinum authorized user
- Ability to cash out MR at 1 cent each with no cap
- Potential annual engagement bonus worth up to the full annual fee
One important catch: if you’ve received a welcome bonus on any personal Amex Platinum before, you’re probably not eligible because of Amex family language.
💎 Award Deals Worth Booking
- Qatar Qsuite to Doha from multiple U.S. cities, ~70K Avios
- U.S.–Madrid business class, from 40.5K Avios one-way on Iberia off-peak (Alaska Atmos from the U.S. is higher)
- Mexico & Caribbean on American Airlines , 4,500 Alaska Atmos points
- Aeroplan business class to Poland, from ~70K points

🔥 Live Transfer Bonuses
Current transfer bonuses:
- Rove → Aeroplan: 25% bonus through June 6
- Chase → Flying Blue: 20% through May 27
- Capital One → Qantas: 20% through May 31
- Chase → Marriott: 65% through May 15
- Amex → Hilton: 20% through May 30
- Amex → JetBlue: 10% through May 11
The Chase → Marriott bonus looks big, but I still generally wouldn’t transfer Ultimate Rewards to Marriott unless you already have a specific redemption planned.
Airlines are usually the better move.
Every active transfer bonus on CardStack (live list).
💰 Rakuten + SoFi Stack
Rakuten is offering elevated cash back on some SoFi signups right now.
If you were already planning to open a SoFi account, check Rakuten first before applying directly.
🚀 CardStack Update
I’m about to submit v1.3.2 to the App Store with lots of improvements to make the app faster, more reliable, and to fix some bugs.
Additionally, I’m introducing new logic to make the CardStack ROI hero card on Home and the “Net Fee Offset” cards on the card detail screen more accurate, and to clearly explain how they’re calculated.
Plenty of other updates are on deck for the next few weeks — you’ll hear about them here as they ship :)
