You already spent the money. The offer credit did not post because Add to Card never happened. That is the whole problem with Amex Offers.
How do you add Amex offers manually?
- Log into your Amex account. Open the American Express mobile app or sign in at americanexpress.com with the account that holds your cards.
- Select the card you plan to use. Amex Offers are per card. A Platinum and a Gold each need their own pass through the Offers tab.
- Open the Amex Offers section. In the app, go to Offers for that card. On the web, open Amex Offers or Offers and Benefits for the selected card.
- Add each offer you want. Browse or search for merchants. Tap or click Add to Card on every offer before you spend. Enrollment is the gate: a $10-back-on-$50 offer at a store you already shop at pays nothing unless it was added before the purchase.
- Repeat for every Amex card. Each card has its own offer list. Three Amex cards means three separate passes through Offers.
- Pay with the enrolled card before the deadline. Use the same card at the merchant, meet any minimum spend, and complete the purchase before the offer expires.

What is automatic and what is not
The browser extension requires CardStack+. The free tier does not include offer enrollment. You can still add cards and track statement credits manually without linking a bank.
Offer automation is limited to Amex and Chase. You still log into Amex yourself. The extension runs on pages you visit while signed in.
Manual enrollment is enough if you carry one Amex card and check Offers once a week. CardStack helps when you have several cards or keep missing deals.
Frequently asked questions
Can you add all Amex offers at once without an app?
American Express does not offer a native add-all button. You enroll offers one at a time in the Amex app or on americanexpress.com, per card. Browser extensions like CardStack can batch-enroll offers you select after you log in.
Does CardStack add Amex offers without me logging in?
No. You must log into your Amex account in the browser. The CardStack extension runs on Amex pages you visit while signed in. It does not access your Amex password or enroll offers without a session.
Do I need CardStack+ for the Amex offers extension?
Yes. The Chrome and Safari extension is included with CardStack+. The free tier covers manual credit tracking in the iOS app but not browser extension features.
Will CardStack add the same offer to every Amex card?
